Stefanie has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has been at Chehalis West since 2008. Prior to joining us at Chehalis West, Stefanie spent the previous seven years at our sister facility, the Sharon Care Center. She is married to a wonderful husband and has two lovely and very active children who keep her on the go when she is not at Chehalis West. Stefanie and her family enjoy camping and spending time together. |

A retired U.S. Air Force Major and mechanical engineer, Dave joined Chehalis West in the spring of 2010 as head of the Maintenance Department. Dave is married to his lovely wife, Wanda, who is also employed at Chehalis West in the dietary department. Together, they have three wonderful children. Dave is an active member and deacon at his church. Although Dave has had little time to pursue his interests and hobbies, he and his family enjoy off-road motorcycling, trapshooting, riding bikes, hiking, and playing racquetball. In addition, Dave works on and repairs cars and trucks to be a blessing to family and friends. One day he hopes his passion in vehicle development will help to solve problems like traffic jams. Now that would be a help to us all! |
Activities Director - Merk Newman |
Merk, a certified Activity Professional, has been responsible for the fun, entertainment, and activities for the residents of Chehalis West since 1980. She has worked in the healthcare field (mostly long-term care) for 44 years. Merk has been married to her wonderful husband for an even more remarkable 45 years. She has three children and eight grandchildren. Naturally, Merk enjoys and spends most of her free time with family and close friends. Merk says she truly loves what she does, and working at a family-oriented facility like Chehalis West, where everyone feels welcome, makes her job that much more rewarding. |
