Meet Barbara Knight
Barbara was born in and grew up in Port Orchard, Washington along with two brothers and two sisters. She married her husband whom she had known since she was ten years old. She attended college to become a Nanny, but worked various jobs throughout the years; the most enjoyable job being at a saw mill in Eastern Washington. Barbara's best memories are from her childhood when her family would go to Twin Harbors Beach for three to four days or camping at Lake Cushman. Her favorite thing to do is gardening because it relaxes her. Barbara enjoys living at Chehalis West and says, "The staff are friendly, thoughtful, caring, and have a good disposition". She also said, "when I'm crabby, they always cheer me up".

Miss Lewis County
Chehalis West will once again sponsor this year's Miss Lewis County Pageant Dress Rehearsal in February. We would like to invite you to come and meet the contestants and join us for entertainment and refreshments.

Resident Christmas Party
The annual Christmas Party was held December 22nd. Santa arrived with a "ho-ho-ho" while visiting with residents and passing out candy canes. Miss Lewis County, Carrie Jo Morris, also entertained the residents and performed many of her favorite Christmas songs. There were many gift drawings for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this Christmas a special one!

 Family Christmas Dinner
On Thursday evening, December 15th, residents and family members gathered together to celebrate our second annual Family Christmas Dinner. Our guests enjoyed ham and turkey with all the trimmings. Two Town Tuners provided the entertainment and random drawings were held throughout the evening. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their elf arrived passing out candy. Many residents took the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa Claus. We hope everyone had a wonderful time and we're looking forward to next year's dinner.

Honda Goldwing Christmas Party
Chehalis West was proud to have the Honda Goldwing Club as our guest again this year. Santa and his helpers arrived in style with gifts for every resident. Cookies and punch was enjoyed by all. A very big thank you to the Honda Goldwing Club for their generous gifts and for making this a special event!
